Angels Deliver...

Thanks to Charlie and Madeline, part owners of Orcas Island Freight, for making it possible to receive commodities from LifeLine and the Bellingham Food Bank. Neighbors helping neighbors.

These guys are great!

Our Hunger Heroes Continue To Shower Us With Generosity.

Forest Ceramic Company – Valerie and Sean, owners of Forest Ceramic Company, held an Earth Day Sale in                                           April and donated all of their sales that day to two non-profits on Orcas – the Food Bank being one of them.                                            Thank you Forest Ceramics for your most appreciated donation of $2,200!

The Low er Tavern donated 85 hot meals to Food Bank recipients on the 24th. Also, a generous donor gave                                            us  funds to pay restaurants to provide fresh meals for our clients during this crisis.

Molly Donovan and George Orser of Orcas Farm gave us this utility cart. We have made great use of this                                                   little gem!

Pawki’s and Friends is calling on anyone who wishes to take part in donating pet food to the Food Bank can                                              do so by calling Pawki’s at 360-376-3648. Charge whatever amount you wish to contribute and Pawki’s will                                              make a purchase at cost giving it to the Food Bank for distribution.

A huge shout out to Westsound Maskmakers and Deborah O’Connor (Hospice of the NW) for the most                                                     welcomed donation of face masks for our helpers and volunteers that help keep us and our clients safe.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors!

I found this awesome banner ("Neighbors Helping Neighbors") in the office and decided it was perfect for outside. Mimi from Morning Star Farm offering flowers. John from Roses Bakery with our bread order plus complementary extras for volunteers. Geddes Martin from Ship Bay with donated kale. Christina Orchid from Red Rabbit Farm discussing future donations and dropping off a check.

We had a great day today at the food bank!
